Half painted, half ai. The shapes, colors and some of the lighting was made in Inkscape, then ai was used to add texture, then I cut the background in GIMP.
I can use and I can sell my game on EpicStore or itch.io any site use your asset? Of course I give you credit. I promise you

I used to play Gemcraft a lot years ago, but in this I was aiming more something like crystals in mobile match-4 games. :)
